sweet

she's snaked eyed.

{this happens in blizzards and Eclipse lines}

the eye trait eclipse|snake are linked gentically and intresting enough they both can exsits on the same animal.

The blizzard and the eclipse eye pigmentation is totally different. They are not the same thing at all.

Snake eyed in not a genetic thing at all. All it is, is a term that tells the degree of eye pigmentation in eclipse/raptor/radar/typhoon eyes.

Snake eyed X snaked eyed can give you solid eyes .and solid eye X solid eye can give you snake eye and can even give you no eye pigment at all.

And to be honest with all of you IMO Abyssinian isn’t a morph either. All it is, is an eclipse with out the eye pigment. I have had them years before the “Abyssinian” was coined.

Actually this is a good topic that I can write about. Because a lot of people get this kind of messed up in how they look at it.

I know what she is  Approximately 80% of my geckos are eclipses or eclipse hets - I was simply referring to the irregular coloring of the snake eye

true; i know they are gentically difffrent.

i find the same happens in my blizzard lines as the eclipse gene
but more random.

blizzards:
eclipse + eclipes = snake/eclipse or normal.
eclipse + snake = snake/eclise or normal
snake + snake = eclipse/snake or nomal.

and i have blizzards that dont produce eclipse or snake??

eclipse genetic trait:
eclipse+snake = eclipse/snake
eclipse+eclipse = eclipse
snak + snake = eclipse/snake

Snake eyed in not a genetic thing at all. All it is, is a term that tells the degree of eye pigmentation in eclipse/raptor/radar/typhoon eyes.

are you saying eclipse is the eye trait: solid black,
and snake eye is the refrence to the % of eye not completly black

ive also have animals with both types displayed.

a questions then:
if its not gentic why does it pop up only in a line that has it?
with both eclipse gene and blizzards?

i thought hyper xantic (lacking yellow)
removes the eye pigmentaton. to get "Abyssinian”

and albinoism or hypomealean removes the black to make ruby eyes.?

strmckr :
I know what she is
:), and a nice looking one at that.
deffintly diffrent coloring on the her eyes.

all i get is green on any of mine.
