Getting a crestie, got some questions. (of course!)

So, I might be getting one, if tonight's discussion about switching tanks with my brother goes according to plan (meaning I get his locking tank to switch with my non-locking tank). So, I have a 10 gallon that's just under 19 inches tall. I would like 1 crested gecko. That's all. (Ok, so I want like a zillion, but that won't happen). My questions are really just what's the best care. I will use crested gecko diet every day, have a shallow water bowl, a bunch of climbing things, spray the tank every day, provide half a coconut, and a uth for jungle animals, plus feed crickets once a week. Do I need to do more? Is any of this wrong? Lizard will be bought either at the end of August, or in September.

Sounds like you have the basics. A 10 gal for an adult may be a lil cramped though. Fine for a juvie, but you may want to look around for a larger tank in your local classifieds.

Feeding Crickets isn't really needed if you're using a CGD mix.

Biggest concern is humidity; which depends on where you live.
The dryer the climate the more times you mist. I live in PA and typically mist 2-3 times a day depending on the temps in the room and what the gauges are reading.

Other than that Cresties are pretty easy to take care of.

Sounds good, I agree 10 gallon is kind of small for an adult.
I would leave the CGD in for two nights, some of them like it aged.
And if you are going to feed them crickets, which they just love, make sure to get calcium powder do dust the crickets before hand.
I would also suggest a temperature and humidity gage. so you will know if you need to spray more often
good luck!
