Crickets in total darkness

I have been thinking what would lead to try keep crickets in total darkness. Have anyone tryied this experiment? I googled it but I couldnt find any simple results besides I know it would have anormal effects.

Maybe you'll get glow-in-the-dark crickets!:rofl:At least they'll be easier to find if any get loose in your basement.

Just kidding. It would be an interesting experiment, though crickets are more nocturnal anyway (at least I think). I got sick of crickets really fast, so I don't deal with them any more.
