Eggs not hatching?

Hey guys after last season breeding efforts i had a little problem with some of the eggs. Usually both eggs hatch with in a few days if not a day of each other but for some reason i had some go more than ten days and still not even look like hatching. After a few more day i had to cut some eggs and not to many survived. Has anybody expirenced this or something similar in previous seasons. It was only a few clutches and i was incubating in perlite.

Species? or just generally?? personally, I think poor egg hatch rates and weak / deformed hatchies has more to do with the heating and feeding balance of adult females before and during being gravid.. Keeping them too hot, makes them develop eggs too fast and increases poor hatch rates... calcium levels play a huge part.
