Cloacal licking?

Yesterday in Petco I saw three male crestys in the same cage. All appeared to be in good health (no sunken eyes or signs of starvation). One clinging to the glass leaned around and began licking his cloacal region. He was so involved he lost his balance and fell off the glass. Is this normal behavior?

It's a fairly normal behavior for male geckos. =P Sometimes they just have their hemipenes out for a stretch lol. They usually lick it to help it retract or just to clean it :roll::lol:

Yep, it is normal. Male cresties can be quite disgusting, yep they like too...yeah.gross. and they can get distracting and fall to.
