I have two female P. m. grandis in a 18 x 18 x 24 viv. They are a little over a year old. They're sisters who I separated for several months after hatching. While apart, they both layed several infertile eggs. I put them back together in this viv a few months back. I've seen some chasing, but nothing too aggressive and both seem pretty plump and healthy. Earlier tonight I saw some chasing and one actually vocalized at the other. Just now I caught them doing what appeared to be copulating! I am sure they both layed eggs while separated, and I did not see any male organs during the mounting although the female on top did have her vent open and is now licking it. Has anyone else seen this behavior between two females? :? Is it a dominance thing like with dogs?
