substrate ideas

Hi, so I have always kept all my rhacs on paper towels for breeding purposes, and they have either used the breeding boxes I made or I have always been able to find the eggs in time. However at the beginning of spring this year I was prmotoed and now basically live at my job, ( I actually now keep my babies with me at work to keep a close eye on them lol), but this entire season my chohoua never once used the breeding box I made and I lost 3 clutches because I couldnt get to them in time and I was lucky enough to catch the 4th one. So I was thinking about putting a substrate in only my chohouas to help prevent the lose of my eggs. I wanted to know what substrates do you guys use? and if any body has any other recommendations to get her to lay in the boxes.

thanks
Dan

Chahoua's always lay on top of the substrate so whatever you use you need to find the eggs as soon as possible or they wil drie out.

yeah I know, but I want to use something that the chohouas can live on and lay there eggs in that will give me more time than using paper towels.

You can buy it in garden/plant shops its used as an alternative for normal potting soil. I have been using it for years and never had a problem with impaction.
