Uroplatus lineatus white eye line

Perhaps, this discussion/topic has been online before, but I was wondering if someone could tell me why some lineatus have white lines on their head while other lack the white line (thin white line just behind their eyes to the end of the head). I have noticed this and have seen very distinctive differences among individuals. Is this a locality feature, does anyone know or are their other physical differences that are in paralel with the white line? Are their different breeding results between both that anyone has experienced?

I've heard about it, but I've never kept lineatus or bothered to pay sufficient attention to them when I've seen them at shows.

Perhaps someone else will chime in, but I know I've had someone in particular have me keep an eye out for these "white lined" lineatus at shows, and in those cases I never saw any. Wouldn't hurt to see a pic demonstrating the idea.

In the Uroplatus book, are the geckos shown in Fig.156 and Fig.157 similar to what you're describing?

Thank you Pierre, this is exactly what i was meaning. Especially on the last picture oyu can see the differences between both animals really well. I am very interested in why these differences are so distinctive!
