I have got 0.1 Nephrurus amyae early this year from Ken Bartenfeld. Yesterday I talked to Ken, and he was very interested in her. Therefore here are some actual pictures and the first hatchlings. Enjoy!

Hi
very nice amyae!
u give lay box to her? Did she lay the eggs inside it or not?
What is the substrate inside the lay box? Soil?
Thanks

Yes, she uses the laybox! About 5 days before laying she starts to dig up the whole soil, perlite, sphagnum moss mixture. I checked up the box every day and after laying you will find the eggs very simple and without damage.

thank for your information!
But how come you can get her to lay inside the laybox and not in the sand?
When will you put the laybox inside their cages?
What is the dimension of the your laybox?

Regards

It is more than easy to get your female one in using the box. You only have to add the box at the beginning of the breeding season and put it out after the season. And the most important thing is, the substrate must be dried out and the box the only humid place in the tank. Then the female one will use it 100%-ly!!

She's absolutely gorgeous! Her mom was a KILLER! Best I've EVER seen. I still have pics of her mom and my Photobucket I believe. Congrats on your offspring! They all look like they're doing great and I'm glad she's in good hands! She was the last one I let go...

Thanks so much, Ken! Yeah, the CB '09 are at perfect health. Next season I will try to get her more clutches, this year I only allowed her to get 2 clutches in order to get to know her regenerate time between the clutches. Indeed she takes up 6 adult crickets 3 times a week, but now I am cooling all down.
Let me know, if there is a young deleani pair! ;-)

That's great and I'm glad she is in good hands. Nothing could be asked more from you ;-)

I'll let you know how my N. deleani do. So far, they are eating great and looking gorgeous. I'll post some pics when I find my camera cord. They are one of my favorites. I'm only getting my favorite geckos now. My P. rugosus are by far my favorite though. I've waited a long time to get them.

Take Care,
Ken Bartenfeld
