Interesting Fimbriatus Behavior

Today, I brought my classroom milksnake home for the break. I have her housed in a ten gallon tank. I put the milksnake's tank on the floor of my reptile room, at my house, in order to get a shelf space available to put the tank on. When I looked up at my Fimbriatus, two of them had puffed up their chests and looked as if they were doing push ups. One turned a very pretty purple color. I tried to get pictures but it was after I moved the snake and they had calmed down. It was very interesting and the colors were beautiful.

Thanks so much. I am pretty excited about my fimbriatus project. I wish I could have taken a better picture of the purple coloring. It was pretty neat.

They remind me of the pictures Bill Love took of U.fimbriatus.

I have seen that color change in my fims when they are startled. It's really impressive...I think if you had left that snake around them much longer they might've gone all out with the open mouth, curled up tail, and popped out eyes.
Very cool
