Well, I have since moved all my geckos into a rack, so they have completely different set-ups now, but here is where I had a couple of my girls for a short while. I actually hate it lol which is why they weren't in there very long, but it worked for the two weeks they were there.
I had the heat pad under one corner and I had created enough caves and nooks for the girls to hide in several different places either on the hot side or on the cooler side. Typically it's recommended to have several hiding places on both sides of the temperature gradient, which the humid hide either somewhere in the middle or on the hot side.
Here are two examples of some quick holding tanks I set up for two new males a few months ago while we changed everything around. Yes, poor boys lol they were stuck with little branches of fake flowers, which were the only fake plants I had available. Since it's just one gecko I had one hide on each side and they spent all day in their hot/humid hide, so it was fine.
The ecoearth might look super humid in one photo, but it was given time to dry out before the gecko went in. No one say anything about the substrate, please, just because you like paper towels doesn't mean everyone has to too
