Hi, so I was wondering what you guys feel about the new zoomed calcuim. I have always used repcal however I noticed that not everyone agrees with it and it is also expensive. I compared the 2 and noticed that both are very similar and zoo med actually had more of certain ingredients ( i dont remember which ones as I compared them in the store) The biggest difference I noticed was that rep cal uses oyster shell where as zoomed does not and argues that oystershell is bad. Which do you guys think is better or is this something else out there that is better than both?

thanks
Dan

I personally like repcal better because I think the zoo med powder is to fine. My geckos coated the entire inside of their tubs with it. Repcal is more granular which I like.
However the main supplement i like to use is Vionate. It's more granular and less messy and a more complete vitamin and mineral supplement. It also has D3. I use it for my main supplement and as one of the ingredients in my gut loading regime for crickets and mealworms. I place a little bit of it in the bottom of my meal worm dish in my Leos cage a few times a week. I really only use repcal maybe once a month in addition to dust my crickets since the vionate is to granular to dust. The geckos love it though and do great on it.
