Just thought I'd post a new pic of my male fattie. Not trying to be braggy or anything, but he's got to be the NICEST looking normal fat tail I've seen in any pet store my area. The pictures just don't do him justice. His skin has a velvety sheen to it for over a week after he sheds, and I love his rich, clean color... First 3 shots are older pics, last two are recent
He's gotta be over 5 inches now. I really need to get a scale for my geckos..

herpluvr: african fat tails get to be about the same size as leopard geckos, maybe a bit shorter in average length (around 8 inches)

The last picture is great! Where did you get him. No pet stores around here sell AFT's like that. Most don't sell any AFT's at all.

I got him at a store here in spokane called Reptile Addictions. I'm pretty sure that Petco sells wild caught fat tails, the ones they had were missing tails and were extremely aggressive =(

Very nice looking ATF He has darker colours compared with my guy, it looks like.
Hurpluvr: I got my ATF at a Pet Cetera, they also have them at the Pet Land here and sometimes at the Pet Smart. I know some people don't like buying their pets from chain stores like these, but i haven't had a problem that could have been linked to the store. As long as they and their cage mates are healthy looking there shouldn't be a problem. Plus most pet stores have a guarantee, and are happy to answer any questions you may have.
