Leachie, Garg, or Crestie?

I'm planning on getting a new gecko soon and I can't decide between a leachie, a gargoyle, or a crestie. I know all of them are wonderful, but I'd appreciate some feedback. Also if anyone could tell me approximately how big gargoyle geckos get, since I seem to find a different number everywhere I look.

Aw man im having the some headache atm =)

But personally, i would go for the leachies, because theyre so BIG ! :D And i've recently found out that they can be rather docile, where i before thought they were like.. Tokay angry. So definately the leachies, cool look, awesome skin texture, stunning personalities.

In my country (denmark) they can be a little pricy, i dont know how the prices is in the US. But hey, if youre gna keep an animal that lives approximately 15 - 25 years, a few $ difference doesnt rly matter. imo.

Well at the moment it looks like leachies are out considering I have to pay off a ticket, and I really don't think I'm going to have enough money for one considering. So it's down to crested or gargs.
As for the sarasinorum I haven't seen many around.

What about chahoua's?

I'd vote leachie, but next in line would be the chewies, cresties next, then gargs last.

The chewies just aren't as appealing to me as some of the other Rhacodactylus species. Plus I think they're a little out of my price range.

I like the cresteds it just seems to me like they lose their tail really often for some reason. I think it's between them and a gargoyle, or possibly a reasonably priced sarasinorum.

If I were you, I would get a crested for now. They rarely lose their tails unless handled roughly Most of the ones you see with missing tails last them at a young age from nippy siblings. If you want something that will super tame then get a leachie. They are just great and you can unsexed hatchlings that are not too hard on your wallet. The only downside is the large terrarium requirements and huge appetite.

Be careful when considering leachies as a tame animal. I've heard many stories about psycho leachies that attack whenever the owner opens the cage, especially some GT's. Not that they can't be tamed, or that there aren't many that are sweet, but don't think that they are all that way.

Yeah I also want something a little more active with some personality. From what I've seen leachies jsut seem very sedentary.

I guess...

We have all heard the story's. Of course there are the rare aggressive leachies but I was talking about buying hatchlings. Less flighty geckos may have been a better word then tame.

If a leachie is something you are truly considering then you shouldn't let these story's effect your decision. Yes leachies don't move about as much when handling them, but this doesn't mean they lack personality just because they arnt trying to jump out of your hands every 30 seconds.

And again, if chewies are too pricey, then certainly leachies would be too.

I recently got my first leachie, so most of my knowlege is from reading the experience of others, but it seems that leachies can be pretty defensive of their enclosures and try to drive out your hand when you open the door.

Get a crestie, and I wouldn't worry either about the tail dropping. I've had one for a while, and she still has her tail. And besides, they're cute with their little frog butts...
