Hello there.
I came across an adult female of P. rangei and while she seems to be doing fine in her temporary tank as a bigger one is in preparation, I discovered eggs in her body today. I scraped together my knowledge about this gecko in the www, and the breeder I got my girl from is more of the happy-go-lucky type who doesn't have much experience with this species either.
So I have a few questions to all of you who breed this pretty gecko successfully!
How often do they lay eggs? Every 5-6 weeks? More often? Less often?
How do you induce a resting period for the female and for how long would you recommend to do so? 3 months? 6 months?
What substrate do you guys use to incubate the eggs?
Is the gender of the hatchlings controllable by temperature and what temperatures do you use to get males or females?
How long is the incubation time in relation to the temperature?
And finally: do you know a book in which I can learn more about this fascinating gecko and its breeding?
Thanks for your help.
