Mourning gecko behavior

Now that my mourning geckos are acclimated to their new home, and used to us, I'm seeing some different behavior from them which has me wondering if perhaps these geckos are actually not nocturnal.

I see my geckos out at various times during the day AND night. I am beginning to suspect they may be crepuscular. They are absolutely out more often in the light than any nocturnal species I have kept before, and they become active in the evening before their lights go out. In fact, they're chirping right now.

I too have wondered about this, I have some who are active on and off during the day, and some that are only active after the lights are out. Still in captivity many nocturnal species will start to come out in the day. Maybe some members in Hawaii can enlighten us on if they see these geckos during the day or not.
