help!! savanah monitor problems!

i just bought a babie savanah monitor from the reptile show, he seemd to be in great health very spunky, but when i got him home and put him in his tank with proper lighting/heating and sand bottom he started acting funny, and sitting a weird postions, he got lethargic, and wouldnt open his eyes, i gave him a bath and he was swimming around fine. but when i dried him off he went back to the same way, right now i have him ina tub with a heating pad. this all happened in one day, so i think he will be okay if i figure out what is wrong, he has a large lump in his through, and is also not focusing on anything and just kind of staring off.

I'd have him checked by a vet. At the very least get a fecal exam done as most of these savanahs have at least some form of internal parasites.

he died last night :/ witch is so weird cuz he was alright when i bought him and a few hours later he died.

Sorry to hear that. At least you know that if he was that sick that he didn't even make it a day, it was not your fault and out of your hands.

i hope you can find yourself a new one, if you still like to keep them.

i have seem them in reptile stores, very cool reptiles.
but to big for me really.
