Hi all.. Yesterday I acquired 5 dwarf sand geckos - Stendoactylus petrii . 3 females, 2 males.. it looks like 2 are possibly gravid.. I can see what looks like eggs on the sides of belly... I have found 1 really good care sheet on them but little is on egg laying. What do I do with the eggs? DO I incubate dry, moist, or ??. Do I put in a moist nest box? Do these geckos breed like leopard or other geckos - 2 eggs every few weeks? And do they breed til they drop where I need to pull the males?
These geckos are currently in a bare basic quarenteen tank - 10 gal with paper towels and plastic hides. The temps are not up to ideal yet. They will be getting a Habitat.. 20 long all decked out for the desert life... I was hoping for breeding but didn't expect it so soon.
I am in love with these little geckos and the thoughts of baby micro geckos is so cool!!!! Any and all tips are welcomed!!
