So I have a few clutches of tremper albino leopard geckos and I have one particular one that it getting rather strange colored. The parents are: Tremper albino murphy and RAPTOR. Anyways a few weeks ago this particular baby started to form what looked like blue and green coloring along the sides of the gecko where the white underbelly is and a bit into where it meets the top coloring. Anyways I was worried because I thought it would be some sort of internal issues due to it looking like bruising. But the gecko was perfectly fine by all aspects. Since then the areas between the yellow striping on the tremper body have started to get more and more lavender. And the areas where the white underbelly meets the top coloring are getting rather blue.
Now I understand where and how lavender leos are derived, but it shouldnt be possible in an albino, right? I have visited Ron trempers website and read up on his version of the "blue leo" and there are a lot of similarities. The difference being his started blue as a hatching and as it aged the blue faded. Mine is just the opposite and the blue and purple come in more with age. I guess Im just curious if anyone else out there has had some abnormalities like this on an albino. Sorry for no pic I'm without a camera for a bit.
This leo is kept at 92 hot and 83 cool
Always on dye free paper towel
Fed Roches, Crickets, and has access to mealworms at times
defecates and sheds regularly
Supplemented with Retivite, and sticky tongue Calcium w/ D3
