Somethings wrong

When I got Stevie he was in bad shape. After a really good vet bill he has been fine. However I still have to give him Calcuim in a drop everyday.
He can't see so I have been feeding him mealworms (its not hard for him to catch them). Sprayed with Vit's of course.
His tail is fat now, but he has stopped eating. Its been about two weeks. He hasn;t pooped in a couple days now. He doesn't seem to have lost weight. He has never been very active so I try to take him out and give him something to do. There does not appear to be any blocked anywhere on his belly.
I want to give him crickets but he can't see them to catch them. He wont let me hand feed him anything but ground up mealworms or crickets. Any thoughts on what this could be?

Hi,

I had the same problem with my gecko they just stopped eating no real reason why. No impaction, temperatures are fine, etc... So in a last ditch effort I bought feeding tongs and they worked really well. At first they won't eat from your fingers because its foreign to them but after using the tongs for a bit they will eat from mine without a problem. If you have tried everything the tongs might work for at least until it starts to eat on its own again i think they are from $7-$10 depending on where u go.

Also another thing that I've noticed is that certain geckos prefer to eat at certain times. My normal would rather eat in the middle of the night but my bell albino prefers to eat in the early morning. And then there are others like my hypo tangerine that will eat anywhere anytime. So maybe u can try various feeding schedules to see if it gets excited more so at certain times.

Those are just some things that might help that some people don't really think about. Good luck!
