I would start with something small like a 5 or 10 gallon a few bamboo perches and a snake plant or bromeliad. A small 10 to 15 watt or maybe 20 watt incandesent bulb for basking and a exo terra repti glo 5.0 uvb bulb 13 watts. make sure you have a little drainage layer and coco fiber as soil. and when it gets bigger set up a larger cage with similar lighting only bigger. hope this helps

Hey,
I am another phelsuma owner in hawaii. i actually have a ton and hatchlings on the way! anyways, yeah they are a bit shy! they just need some time to get used to. Be patient. Theyll eventually eat. What are you feeding it? Make sure to put a lot of leaves/branches cause they love that stuff!! they're so cute! what part of hawaii are you from?

yeah be patient, I've had about 7 Gold Dusts and they all take time to get settled in. Be sure to mist it daily or more. I've sent you a PM so read it. Your temps should be fine as you live in Hawaii. What does your lighting setup look like? I got eggs that are about to hatch soon. I have a new 55gallon viv setup and need to grab more geckos. Where did you catch yours?
