Hello everyone,
Not too long ago I posted a question about serving sizes, and whether 3 large meal worms was an acceptable meal size for my gecko.
It was told to me then that I should expect my gecko to "slow down" his eating habits during the winter months.
Two nights ago my gecko ate 3 large meal worms. Last night he refused to eat anything, to which I assumed he would just eat the next day (tonight). He, however, did not eat anything now for the second night in a row. I took him our of his tank today and gave him time to meander around my floor for a bit, to let him "work out" as it were, maybe increase his appetite. He appears perfectly healthy, just not eating.
Temperatures are at their normal levels, nothing to report there.
So...what are your guys experience with feeding habits in the winter? Should I be alarmed? What things should I consider? This is my first winter with my gecko, so I have no experience in how they change their habits in the winter months.
Thanks for the help in advance.
-Alex
