Temperature sex of Nephrurus

I hatch all nephr at 27C and gets about 50/50, males/females.
I met a man in Hamm last time who claimed that amyae could be temp. sexed, but he was selling a few days old hatchlings and all where labeled females...........hmmm
In my opinion they can´t be temp. sexed and 4 males in a rowe is just pure bad luck, but there will be moore opinions I belive.

It is nice to hear other breeders opinions and experiences. I assume that is was bad luck too. But from what I can tell, you can sex them as early as 2 weeks. Thats truly possible. Males have a line or small groove, which will "devide" later the two hemipenis. While females don't have them.

Nothing fancy; 27C, perlite + water 1:1, a few small airholes in the lid of the container. If there builds up condesewater on the lid I take take droplets away.
But there are probably many ways, but thisone worked for me

sofar my experience gives me also the opinion that nephrurus are not temperature sexable, you just have to be a little lucky.
but the ratio is often about 50%.
i use small containers with vermiculite (1:1water)for the eggs and keep them closed so no airholes.
that way you wont have condence drops on the lit wich can fall on the eggs and the substrate will never dry out.
once a week i open them up a short while for some ventilation.

Wich species are you talking about? N.amyae? In my experience, both sexes present that groove and I can sex them only at 10-12 weeks old..
About N.l.levis, I sex them at birth but with the other subspecies of the N.l.levis I have found it to be a bit more trickier..

I thought I would just throw my info in as well. I have the same results as everyone else. I almost always end up with a 50/50 sex ratio, and I incubate my eggs right around 83 F/28 C
