I have been taking it very slow getting my new baby blizzard used to my hands, and have been able to pick it up on occasion. It really looks like it's going to bite me when I put my hand in the cage. What is the answer to that? keep my hand in and ignore any nips or back off completely.it doesnt really run from my hand anymore unless I'm not slow enough about picking it up.It just looks like its going to defend it's territory from my hand

Just take it slow, start with just putting your hand in there and letting him get used to it's presence. then, eventually stroke it's head and body until eventually you can just pick him up. the key is patience!

ya i would say patience is key! my male really hated to be handled and would try to jump out of my hand no matter how high he was, so i started putting my hand near him everyday, then moved to gently rubbing under his mouth, now he will walk and climb on my hand and arm and not jump
