Crested Gecko Not Shedding?

i got my crested gecko about three weeks ago, i have no idea what age he is but he is fairly small. i'll post some pictures of him. anyway, he still hasn't shed, is this normal? he eats CGD and 2 crickets (1 dusted w/ calcium and 1 dusted w/ multivitamins) so I would think that he would be growing, i bought him from a petstore, so i have no idea when the last time he shed. i do know that he was fed only crickets w/ calcium :-x he usually eats all of his CGD, but he loves crickets. should i be worried? also, he lives in an Exo Terra 18x18x24 if that makes a difference, he has plenty on hiding places and plants too.

Since cresteds are amongst the species that eat their own shed, he might have done it without your knowledge.

Have you checked his feet/tails for remains of shed? Those are usually the areas where some might stick.

BTW beautiful vivarium you have for him! I'm sure he's very comfortable in there.

Hi,

He looks really good from the pictures, and that vivarium is indeed very nice. With regards to the shedding, I've not seen a few of mine shed, and one of them I've had nearly two years. It's a pot luck if you catch them, as one I caught, you can tell by their nose/head and the grey ish colour, and it only took him about an hour to get it all off.

Here are a couple of pictures to help you notice :)

This is Fish normally:

And Fish in shed (two below):

You can see near the nose, a few normal coloured scales, and then the grey ish hue of the rest of him:

And in this one, look around the top of the legs, and chin, it is round these areas the loose shed starts to come off:

This is Rex eating his shed off his tail:

Thank you, that was very helpful :) I haven't noticed any grey on him, he seems to be the same as when i got him. he might have shed on of these days though, i don't see him in the morning, i just spray down his cage, change his food and see where he is, then i leave for school. it's possible...
