Keeping the thread simple...my gut tells me a 20 gallon X high
(10"L X20"W X23 3/4"H) would be fine for a single male P. grandis. But in case my gut is wrong, thoughts?

Im am sorta new to the technical keeping but I have been doing my research.

I keep several pair of P. Grandis, and I have several different size cages, not all holding gradis though.
Everything you are going to read will say taller is better.
There may be a few times when your gecko is in hunting mode and cruises around the bottom but 99.9% of the time all of mine (2 males, 3 females) are perched out in the open, either on a leaf, bamboo, or the glass.
Roomy bottoms do provide area for plants, and these guys will want stuff for cover.
I am very happy with exo terra glass terrariums for a display set-up. These can be picked up @ reptile shows for pretty cheap, new or used.
The size of cages i use for one very large pair is a 24x18x24 (lxwxh), another smaller pair are in an 18x18x24. I keep a solo female in an equal 18x18x24.

I have some cresteds in 12x12x18s and I dont think the width or height would be enough for a grandis.
