Question about egg laying bedding for crickets...
I just got my shippment of crickets and I am going to start breeding and prodcing my own again so I don't have to keep buying them every month to every other month.
I have on hand some Seed Starter Mix(I believe I used something similar early last year). The ingrediants in this mix are Sphagnum peat, horticultural vermiculite, perlite, wetting agent and lime for ph balance. I was wondering if this is safe to use as an egg laying medium for the crickets, this way if they ingest it it will not harm my geckos when they eat the crickets.
If this isn't safe, does anyone have suggestions of what is best used as an egg laying medium?
