Starfruit?

I like to make fruit purees to offer my cresteds as an occasional treat to vary the diet. I have tried apples, mango, papaya, etc. My mom just bought a starfruit for me to try, but I wanted to pass it by you guys first. Is there any forseeable problem with this fruit? It doesn't taste citrus-y really, so I'm thinking it should be fine, should they like it. Thanks

I am not sure on that one star fruit I have never heard of that sorry to sound stupid lol if it has any taste of citrus in it even a very little bit in the fruit in it I would not feed it to the gecko. Now someone could come on here and say yes you can give it to your gecko but I am not really sure. :)

I would stay away from it. It has really high oxalic acid/oxalate content. It's the stuff that is in spinach that makes it a bad choice for iguanas, tortoises, bunnies, etc.

Oxalic acid is a the precursor to calcium oxalates, a potentially poisonous substance that contributes to the toxicity of antifreeze. Calcium oxalate is also the main contributor to the formation of kidney stones. Oxalates and oxalic acid bind with calcium, leading to MBD (metabolic bone disease).
