Allright i tried reading FAQ's of lighting and how it works
Thing is my current terrarium is 40x40x50cm for my lygodactylus, i got it sorted with the lighting
But now i got this new rack for them finally, which is Herpteks 60x60x100cm
The rack is build in a way that theres 2 spots where i can place lamps, one is on height of like 80cm and other one at 90cm
So now i gotta figure out what lamps to use to provide the necessary UVB heat etc.
Ive seen all this stuff about lumens kelvins and god knows what, but yet im clueless what lamps i should use
Apparently the UV lamps that would fit in the rack dont have an in example "Lucky Reptiles 5.0 UVB 14 W" instead they have stuff like "T5 Fluorescent Lamp, Light Colour 840, 21 W, High Efficent" in them.
Generally ive been told and read in multiple places that the to get the sufficient UV lighting Lygodactylus williamsi needs 5.0 UVB tubes, but now that im using lamps, how do i check that the lamp radiates the necessary amount? Does the 5.0 mean a certain lumen or something?
And yeah as for the heat, say i put an 80W heating lamp on the top, its gonna be hot as **** at the top where the geckos are at, but reasonably cold at the buttom?
If someone could take the time of telling me how i should pull this off id be greatful beyond imagination, as i dont wanna buy 100 lamps in process of getting the heats right =X
Cheers, Frinta
