After fruitlessly trying to take some pictures of my recently arrived Phelsuma cepediana (thank you, Preston), I decided to take some pictures of some other Phelsuma. The 0.1 Phelsuma guimbeaui and 0.0.2 Phelsuma abbotti chekei came from JMeyer (I think originally produced by John Woodward).
While I don't have any eggs yet (couldn't add anything to the "Incubation" thread, haha), I am expecting a number of klemmeri, kochi, borbonica, and, hopefully, robertmertensi eggs very soon.
The colors on the male robertmertensi are really spectacular. This is my first opportunity to work with guimbeaui and I'm pleasantly surprised by her behavior. She appears to never stop moving. I am looking forward to watching her mature and finding more guimbeaui.
The cepediana are striking, but are very shy. Granted I have only had these animals for a short amount of time (just over 36 hours, haha) so I expect them to settle a little bit. Just a little bit, right?
Very gravid female:
