Well I have read several care sheets on these species, and pictus gecko. I kind of like crested geckos better since I currently own 2 leopard geckos i want a new species.

Anyway I plan on getting the exo terra cage
paper towel as substrate temporarily
some plants

i have all the calciums and multi vitamins
i am only missing the gecko and the cage supplies like
food bowl water bowl
digital thermometers
and hygrometer

Also what CGD - MRP do you recommend? flavor wise...
substrate suggestions?

thanks in advance

With the Exo-terra enclosure, make sure you get one that is tall and not one that is short and wide (the width isn't so important in this species). I find my 45 x 45 x 45 cm just about works for my Crestie but anything taller is always a bonus! You need lots of branches for your critter to climb on! They are arboreal species and do not spend much time on the ground. Here is mine:

You will find that they will not use the water bowl, so it is there more for keeping good humitidy levels! Spray your enclosure atleast twice a day :)

For the food bowl, get a smallish one as you dont put too much food in at one time :) I sometimes use bottlecaps as food bowls.

For CGD, I am currently trying out Komodo Premium complete diet but it does not have any flavours to it so I usually add a dash of ORGANIC baby food (it is just basically crushed fruit in a tube, no added ANYTHING). I think with repashy, any flavour is good but you just need to test and trial wish one your little fella will like :)

Substrate, I have been using newpaper since I got mine. But a few days ago I changed to coco-fibre as the newspaper does not keep the humidity up. Impaction can be a risk factor but I know alot of people swear by this type of substrate! They don't spend too much time on the floor anyways and if they are on a CGD, they won't really be fed moving livefood (maybe as a treat!) and accidently eating the substrate in the process.

Hope this has helped

I also you the Komodo CGD, but I mix like a jam type subject in with it which is made for crested gecko's I got it from my local reptile shop.

cresties do not need live food as live food alone does not have everything there body needs.

So I stick one/two Locusts in every week just to get him hunting etc.
