Strange bug in with crickets?

Hi, I found a weird bug in with the crickets I bought at the pet store. I think it is a carpet beetle larva? Is it common for other insects to be in with them? They should still be safe to feed to my leo right?

Yeah, the crickets should still be fine. Just get rid of the bug. It happens from time to time.

I hate those things! They're fuzzy and gross! Your Leo is gorgeous!!

They are! Never seen one before! I had to look it up.
Thank you, Star is very beautiful, I actually lucked out getting her, she is the only one the pet store had and luckily they didnt have her long cause they were keeping her on sand :(

There are a lot of worms out there used as feeders for various reptiles that turn into beetles. I bet that bug was just an escaped feeder from another batch that managed to turn into a beetle before being detected. Doesn't surprise me that some leopard geckos may like them.
