Humid Hide Question

I currently have two humid hides made out of plastic containers in my leo's cage, and one in my armadillo lizards cage. I recently did a DIY project for my bearded dragon. I was thinking, has anyone ever made a DIY humid hide? Would they like the darkness of it? Would it hold humidity better than a plastic tub? I was thinking of making something that would fit over the top of the plastic containers, so it was still easy to clean. Anyone ever do this or have opinions....?

Haven't done it myself, but I've used regular hides for humid hide for a couple of my leopard geckos and they seem to enjoy them. Their tank currently does not really have enough room for another plastic container, and when I tried rearranging they didn't seem to like it. So for one of the rock hides with a small entrance, I placed wet paper towels under it and they enjoy laying in it. Leopard geckos love darkness.

So if I can do that, you can definitely make a DYI humid hide of some sort. Trapping humid air is easy, just make sure it's enclosed with 1 small entrance big enough for them to get in/out of it. Stuff wet paper towels in it, place it on warm tile/floor, and voila, it's sauna time.

I just finished the styrofoam structure for my armadillos hide, and it was pretty difficult, since I had to make it a certain size to fit around his tub.
So next major question- can two leopard geckos share one large hide? They sometimes share their large rock hide, and wonder if they could share a large humid hide if I made two entrances? They have two in their new, and honestly theres usually always once empty one.
Something this size, only with two small entrances?

They can share a hide, you would just want to watch them (as you do in general with multiple in a cage) to make sure they are getting along with each other.

Thanks for the advice! They've never had any problems living together, and have been housed together for the past 6 or 7 years (got them as babies). I wasn't sure if it was required to have more than one moist hide though, as I just always supplied too just in case. I already started the DIY, and have the first coat of grout drying now. I'll post pictures when done, just in case others choose to do something similar. Thanks again!

Then I would not worry.

I know u posted this awhile ago but I'll comment anyway. I've made a humid hide out of a ziploc container but didn't like how the plain plastic looked in the cage so I decorated it. I got the ivy from a dollar store and cut all the leaves in the vine then with a hot glue gun glued them around the bottom of the container then glued moss on the lid of the container. I cut 1 whole in the front and 2 holes on top which hold the food and water dishes. As soon as I put it in the leo cage they loved it. I have 2 leos and they can both go in at the same time and theres plenty of room. they also like to lay on top the container.
