Thermometer- hygrometer.

today i was in my local pet store and found - exo-terra 2in1 hygro-thermometer. are this good and give accurate reading and how is it placed.? or should i just stick with dial ones.?

That should suit your needs. Just know that dial type hygrometers and thermometers are not as accurate as the digital ones. If you choose that one I would also suggest getting another single thermometer and putting one on either side of the tank. I'm pretty sure that with Gargoyle geckos there needs to be at least a small temperature gradient.

You can but they're not very accurate or recommended. However I use them myself. I feel like they can give me a ok reading.

The digital is better.

I use both, since I have so many enclosures and the digital are so much more expensive. I keep a few digital on every rack just to verify that my dial ones are accurate.

Somewhat surprisingly to me, the dial ones seem to be more accurate with the humidity than they are with the temperature? :confused:

so yeah im gonna stick with dials. :))) now for my crestie i have a 30 gallon long but on christmas his gonna get exo-terra high. :)))
