What are these rusty spots/stripes?

I don't recall seeing these markings on leos. She's an aberrant hypo tangerine, and the stripes seem to be outlining where her black markings were as a baby.

Just part of what leopard geckos do. Their markings & patterns as hatchlings will almost always change. It's part of the fun watching them grow up

Right, I know that they change, just hadn't seen the rust colored stripes along with the spots. The baby pic is reference so you can see where her stripes were.

Just saying, they are not unusual, those markings are quite common.

Sorry, didn't mean to sound snarky. It sounded like you were just telling me that they look different as they grow up, and well, I knew that much .

Do they fade? I don't care either way, just wondering. Could explain why I don't see it in photos of other hypos.

They can fade, but you have to wait until the gecko reaches almost a year old to know for sure. It depends how hypo your gecko gets. I have one with similar patterns and the stripes are staying.
