Hello, So i built a humid hide (rubbermaid container and damp papertowels...

Put it in there and he wont go in, I picked him up and tried to put him in it and he trys to get out as fast as he can? Is there something wrong? Its plenty big enough.. how do i get him to go in it? or will he eventually just leave it in there?

You don't need to try to force him in or anything. From what I know he will eventually go in when it's needed :)

Is the hide on the warm side? If not try the warm side, they prefer warm humid hides. But yes, they'll eventually use it when they want to. Let them do it on their own or they'll just end up getting scared.

thanks for the info, I moved it to the warm side and will see if he goes in, if not may try a bigger one, Although the one I have i think is big enough it might not be to him.

Mine like to have enough room to turn around in and they only really go in when they're shedding or laying eggs. I only have a couple of gecko's that go in frequently - one of those likes sleeping in it.

Hi,

They mostly use the humid hide during sheds, so do not stress. They will use it when they need to. Just keep it moist in case :)

Cheers
