It's been two weeks, five days since two of my geckos. When should she lay the egg? It very visible now. And is handling a bad idea while prego?

It's usually between 2 and 4 weeks so yours could be laying anytime. I try to keep handling down to a minimum with my gravid females just to make sure they aren't stressed. I can usually tell when they're about to lay as most of mine stop eating and start digging in their nest box a day or two before they start laying. I make sure my females have plenty to eat and make sure they have plenty of calcium leading up to them laying their eggs. It really takes it out of them creating the eggs and I always offer food to them after they've laid their eggs - some of mine want to eat straight away some some don't I leave it up to them. All of my females have laid their eggs in their nest boxes although I've had to put two nest boxes in one of my big vivariums as Yoshi likes the nest box in the cool end of the vivarium and Princess likes it in the warm end. Some of my friends have had their gecko's lay their eggs in their water dish or just anywhere so if you notice your gecko looking thin but there being no signs of disturbance in the nest box have a good look around. I hope this helps a bit :)

I put moist vermiculite in my nest box they tend to like to dig into something. What have you got in your moist box? Yes it would be a good idea to use her moist box they just need enough space to dig and move around in. I'm so excited I love egg laying and little hatchlings :)

All Princess's eggs have been fertile but my other female Yoshi had a few infertile eggs. In fact we only had 2 hatchlings from her but they're both beautiful just like Yoshi. She might lay them in the moss - I haven't had any moss in with mine for ages. Mine don't seem to like it for some reason. If you want to get some vermiculite you can usually find it at pet shops, garden centres or online. I wish I had some more eggs to look forward to but the only eggs in my incubator are Bearded Dragon eggs that I'm incubating for a friend.
