Some questions from a future pictus owner

Some quick questions. I have heard some conflicting ideas, and wanted to hear from the experts! So here they are:
- what humidity is good for them?
- what temperature?
- preferred substrates?
- any good hide ideas- that look good and are cheap?
- where should I get my pictus/panther/ocelot/ African ground gecko?
- any precautions on keeping multiple together (both girls) and can you tell gender by the time you get them?
- how would you measure the temperature? (I've heard probes are good- but what do you do with the probe thing?)
- and how do you "dust" their food? I can't really pick up a cricket and roll it around in my hands (without killing it, and therefore making it impossible to feed them) so how do you do this?

I'd want a 20 gallon long tank. I don't want things to be TOO expensive, but I understand that pets aren't super cheap! Money saving tips welcome

and they're older than 4 weeks when they are purchased, correct? I just want to make sure I don't assume "oh, they must be all girls" but they aren't >.< -it would be a problem if I got two, and not both of them were girls
