My 6 year old female leopard gecko is liffting her legg and looking at her butt. I have never seen her poop over the 6 years so i am not sure if she was trying to poop. So anyways does anyone know what this is? Is it egg bound :shock: ? She still eats plenty.

Well the only way she can access her butt is by lifting her leg:biggrin: I have seen males do this as well so I doubt it's related to being eggbound. You never mentioned if she is indeed gravid? One of the reasons they do this is to lick the area and moistened pieces of left over shed. That's also the only way they can scratch an itch in that area. Unless she is licking the area quite often (which could be a sign of pinworms) I don't believe it's anything of concern.

Nope she is not gravid, she hasn't seen another leo for about 6 years. She stoped doing it now. I was just kinda worried because i have never seen this behavore in the last 6 years and was wondering if it was something to worry about.

Thanks :biggrin::biggrin:
