Im not overly sure about the morph but he looks young due to the marking on his back. Im guessing about 6-8 months old? He looks a bit like my leo which would make him a super hypo tangerine (SHT).

One thing I must say though is get rid of that subsrate right away. It looks like pink sand and sand is bad for your leo. often they will accidentaly swallow some whilst huting their prey. It can lead to impaction which will lead to death of your little friend. I use paper towel as it is safe, cheap to replace, doesnt harbour bacteria (coz it gets changed) and allows the correct temperature gradients.

Other people use Slate tile as this looks good also, but for a juvi i'd stick with paper towel.

Read throught the husbandry guides on this forum and you will see how bad sand and other loose substrates are.

Speraking of husbandry, how are your temps and everything? I didnt think a tank of this size would all the correct gradients. Leo's preferably need a long tank as apposed to a tall tank as they arent climbers they dont need the height.

I also didnt see any calcium in your tank? Its recommended that 100% calcium (w/o D3) is kept in the tank 24/7 for the leo to supliment himself.

I see you are a fellow Briton... Pets at home purchase or a local reptile shop?

my advice is to not bother with a reptile tank, get a fish tank. I bought my tank of ebay and it cost £8!!! plus whatever it was in petrol to drive the half hour to pick it up. you using a UTH for those temps? in the front i'd be trying to increase the temp to about 35 during the day. MOst guides are written in farenheight and recommend low - mid 90's for the warm side which is about 35 celcius minimum.

and good to hear your getting rid of the sand. If moneys an issue, go buy kitchen roll and use that. I keep my leo on that without problems.

You say you got him from a rescue centre, did all the equiptment come with it? I didnt notice if you had humid hide for him? Again, this is another cheap fix whilst you get monies together for stuff. Do you have a reptile specialist near you if you have any queries?
Or a pets at home? sometime you can find a reptile specialist in one of their stores?

Ice cream tubs make a good humid hide. Plus you get to eat the ice cream :D

Slate is good. I'd wash it and give it a good oven bake at gas mark 6 for 20 mins. That will ensure any bacteria is good and killed off!

You know the more I look at your little one, the more he reminds me of my Gecko. Colouring, spot pattern, the lot. Its uncanny. And mine Echo the gecko (my son named him).

This your first?

Looks to be a hypo tang or a super hypo tang. I'm only getting 1 pic on my phone for some reason though...stupid phone!!!!

You both have the same morph and user names!!!!! Had to do a double take on the thread!!

The difference between Hypo and Super Hypo comes down to the number of spots. In general....if the gecko has 10 spots or fewer on it's body it is considered Hypomelanistic, this does not include the head or tail. If the gecko has no spots on it's body it would be called a Super Hypo, also not including head or tail. With a young animal with unknown genetics it is sometimes difficult to tell because the spots and bands fade and/or disappear with time.

This is kind of a watered down explanation, I hope it helps. If not I can post a more in depth explanation later this evening.
