Heating for Tokay Setup

Hey everyone! I might be getting my first tokay this Summer. :yahoo:
So, I was just wondering if anyone could tell me about Exo Terra's topical heat wave? Has anyone used one of these? Exo Terra's site doesn't say how hot they get or anything, it just says that it can be mounted on the side of the terrarium for arboreal animals. Could I use this to create my tokay's basking spot (or any heating mat for that matter)?

If not, I plan on getting a lighting hood for a daylight/ nighttime cycle with incandescent bulbs.

Welcome and enjoy the wealth of information and Tokay conversation nested in this forum.

There are several enclosure, set-up and feeder threads here to get you on your way. Also, spend a little time in the HELP, or Tokay not eating threads too. Most of these deal with poor unsuspecting new Tokay buyers that had no idea what they were in for when they purchased an untreated wild caught animal.

As a group here, we would love to save you the trouble and heartbreak. And we would like nothing better than to have you enjoy your Tokay and not be dismayed by not knowing a head of time.
