Eating Mealworms

What would be the best way to get Leo to eat mealworms? Loves crickets but completely ignores the worms. He's in a 10 gallon tank, just couldn't care less about the mealies, and I'm not sure just feeding him crickets is good for him.
Thanks

Hello,

Your gecko refuses them because he is smart and knows they are not good for him. There are other insects listed on this caresheet. On the second page you will see information for some.

The worms dont move as much as the crickets, and they tend to love things that wiggle.
So you dont waste all the worms try wiggling it in front of their face with rubber tipped tweezers.
But yeh they arent as nutritious as other bugs apparently!

ditch the worms, they just arent healthy. If you want to use them as treats though (one or two a week) then do as victory said and wiggle them a bit. usually you dont even have to wiggle them just give a gentle squeeze and they will wiggle themselves

I didn't want to use them as a meal but like Anthony and XO said as a treat once in a while or a change in food diet can't hurt. Its just he/she is so picky and just getting used to the tank he's still quite skittish.

Try silkworms and phoenix worms. If they don't freak you out dubia roaches are amazing and can't climb so no worries about escape at the very least look them up it, ay change how you feel.

they don't bother me it's the wife they bother. Roaches give her the chills. Still working on her though it might have to be on the QT. It was tough with the crickets and the meal worms. Are horn worms any good for juvenile leos?

Yes, they are fine. Due to how fast they grow they are only ideal as a monthly treat. Always buy the smallest size so they can list a bit longer.
