Darkening of the Skin?

Hey guys, sorry I haven't been on this for quite a number of months, exams and all are so stressfull, Im passing them though

Anyhow, littlefoots skin has gone a lot darker the past couple days, he's a normal leo but his yellow pigment has gone a muddy yellowy brown colour. (sorry, we spell colour differently in britain haha.)

He's also got some large "freckles" that have appeared all over his fore legs, they are just pigments though, not lumps.
The texture of his skin is still completely the same.

I can't get pictures, as I'll explain a bit further down I can't get him to stay put for a clear shot.

The change didnt happen after a shed (a week and a bit ago), its been gradual, and its a bit more than the usual slightly different shades of colour he has between sheds.

He has become very nervous and a bit feafull of being handled since the colour change.
He's incredibly tame, but since the change he does what seem like attempts at backflips if you touch him anywhere on his body, runs for cover at the first incling that you may be approaching the viv and hes given me a small nip a few times (not a full on bite).

I did consider the possibility of his maturity, he's about seven months now (if you guys have a good source on gecko maturity id be interested in seeing it by the way, one of my lesser researched subjects.) so perhaps his hormones could be causing some havock?

On that topic, my parrots going through all sorts of hormones at the moment with the onset of summer bringing on sexual fustration, and what parrot owners call "screaming" (basiclly just making loud noises) constantly. before the colour change the parrot spent a couple hours a day in the same room as the gecko, I've stopped that as it occured to me littlefoots colour change could be from the stress of hearing Chippys ongoing impersonations of the cat in heat. hearing the parrot go MEOWWWRGH and the cat go MEEOOOWRGH constantly all day the past week has certainly driven me to whole new stress levels haha..hah...ha.:paddle: not even my cat so I cant get her dressed.. anyhow, maybe that could be the cause?

As for my viv stats, ive got it written down as Im bad at remembering numbers, but I have no idea where I've put it. If you guys really need it I'll get it, it past your approvals last time anyway
so I'll summerise; his viv is fine, good temps, range of hides, kitchen roll/towel/paper whatever you call it where your at (I personally call it magic. as I go through about twelve rolls a week cleaning up after the parrot.) for substrate, etc. His diet hasn't changed, still crickets gutloaded with prorep food and water gel, with a waxworm every couple weeks as a treat. Nothings changed really, same specially for reptiles product I use to clean the viv, same brand of kitchen roll, no new additions of anything..

He's still eating and drinking well, so the vet said not to worry. But you guys have a lot more experience with leo's in paticular so I'd best ask ya :)
So, fine brains of GU, what's you're verdict? :)
