bird box hide for tokays?

Was thinkng about propping a birdtank up in the gecko tank for a hide with another entrance on the bottom glass wall. Anyone wver tried this?I have a pair in a 55 gallon

I'm having a hard time visualizing what you're talking about. You'd probably want to post a pic of it up. Keep in mind that part of owning these animals is trying new things and experimenting (safely). There are very few cookbook recipes for raising geckos.

Just an enclosed hide high aoff the ground similary shape to a bird house.

As long as it's big enough for them to get into it should be fine. Keep in mind that it must be made from material that can hold up to the high humidity that this species needs. And you'll want to make sure that you're able to get the OUT of the hide when/if needed.
