Hi, I want to get a pair of Halmahera Geckos, I found them for sale a bit big apple herps. Im not positive on there care because there isn't much info out there. But would a pair be ok in a 38gal: 16.5in x 16.5in x 30in screen tank? Or do I need to spend the $200+ On a glass tank, but I read they do better in screen tanks? Or should I do I need to get the 65 gal which is 16.5in x 28in x 30in? I plan on using a 40 or 50 watt day blue bulb or basking bulb to get a hot spot of 85ish degrees and the hot/top side being in the 80s, So should I use a 50watt basking bulb and a 40watt incandescent day bulb and no heat at night? Than Id either use a misting system which would mist twice a day for 10 minutes or how long and how often? Or for normal misting how often and how much? What is there humidity needs? I read 50%+ All the help please. Id use eco earth, hanging plants two large vines and some natural hollow cork bark tubes and branches. Any help would be great, Thanks.

I'd read up on the care for Rhacodactylus leachianus; pretty much everyone I've known that has/had kept this species care for them in almost the exact same way. You can also do a search in the DIY section, I know there are photos in there of set-ups for the gehyra...probably around the end of 2010 early 2011.
