Vertically Challenged Crested Geckos?

I have some cresties that I've had for about 1.5 years now and they haven't grown very much. They should be fully grown by now. This is the first time I've encountered this so I'm not entirely sure what the deal is.

I feed them the same as my other cresteds but for some unknown reason, they are only about 3 inches long maximum (including tail), except for one that has finally reached about 5 inches. The two smallest ones don't seem to be gaining much weight either. They are small, probably an inch or two above hatchling size.

I don't have any pics right now as i am out of town on business.

Is it possible that i have some bad hatchlings? I bought them from a guy with an ad in my local city as I'm not breeding any at the moment. What are your thoughts? My feeding and stuff is fine as I have been raising cresties for about 5 years now all I've never encountered this.:?

in my - admittedly limited - experience with raising hatchling cresties, there's an enormous variability in growth rate. if they're active and seem healthy, I wouldn't be overly concerned.

Yea they are very active and are eating fine and all, just never experienced yet in my 5 years of dealing with them. I've hatched between 30-40 of them and have only lost 2 and never had any growth issues. Just wondering if anyone has experienced this before and if they ever got regular size or not. First time not buying from a known breeder and I wanted to take a break from the whole egg incubating deal. Won't be doing that again for sure.

ah. I've bought 3 from a well-respected breeder, bought one from a pet shop, and hatched a season's worth of them myself. I don't have the numbers you do, but in my hands cresties take between 20 and 30 months to hit maturity. I keep them primarily in the upper 70's during the day (down to as low as ~65-68 at night) and feed very few bugs. some grow faster than others, but they all take quite a bit of time to hit full size. they seem healthy and strong, and maintain good weight and activity.

I've gotten rid of most of the ones I've hatched myself. I've been giving them to friends and different people. I only have 9 at the moment in my "colony". Most of mine get noticeably larger by the 1.5 - 2 year mark than these. I keep mine at pretty much the same temps as you give or take a few degrees. I guess time will tell.
