I picked up 4 females recently. Here are 3 of the 4. The other one looks very similar to the first one pictured.

Nice pick ups Tom. I don't know about the green, but I have a very similar animal to the first one. Sometimes Uroplatus "white" isn't all that white, but a variation of gray or green. I wonder if your greenish one will grow up white or my white one will grow up green? And then there's the day/night change as well. The "pied" ones I've hatched this year change quite a bit from day to night.

Here's mine- https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?...0619419.-2207520000.1350726396&type=1&theater

How old is yours, Tom?

They are only a few momths old and I understand the variability from day to night. I'm guessing that the green tone may make for better camouflage when they are younger and fade as they age.I don't do facebook, so i wasn't able tosee your picture. Personally I have only hatched out 2 pied male henks that were brown, black and white, but there are more eggs incubating.

Here ya go, you non-facebooker you :) Mine isn't green and is younger (my pic was taken at hatching), but other than that they look very similar to me. I've hatched four this year, two "pied" like this one and then two with a different kind of "pied" like pattern. I'm breeding all WC animals so it's a real surprise every time anything hatches. Some are speckled, some are the high contrast bark-like male type, some are pied. It's part of the fun. Either way, your new animals look very nice, congratulations!

She looks good! Every time a uro hatches it is something to be excited about. Those spots over the eyes are really cool looking.

I just hatched out 2 pied affs this morning.... it's a wonderful thing!

Amen to that buddy! Personally, I enjoy the variety I see, pieds, speckleds, barkies, the collared ones, etc but people seem to go nuts over the pieds like they do over nothing else so if im honest I have to admit id prefer more of them. Im all about helping to entrench uroplatus in the hobby but i cant keep them all so what i hatch needs to be marketable.

I've only traded one. I keep them all... so far. It is inevitable that I will run out of room. The one that was traded is with someone that I know will work to propagate the trait.

I simply can't keep all mine... I'll have more than thirty henkeli hatched in 2012, a good problem to be sure but unless the sexes are dead even or female heavy I have to try to sell lone males

I understand, and when my henk eggs start hatching, they will be sold or traded out. I am due to have alot of hatchlings very soon. All of my affs will continue to be held back to propagate the pied and striped traits that are prevalent in my collection. I'm just building a sustainable population.
