Age of What I call "The Hobbit"

I got Smaug on September 15th, 2012 and it is only about 4inches. How would you be able to tell his age? He was the tiniest gecko there... maybe about 3inches when I got him. :king:

That's difficult to say with precision with only its size as information, though if kept and fed under proper conditions, your crested is probably around 3 months old- more or less.

Thanks! I was guessing about five months... usually pets aren't put up for sale until their a certain age so... idk.

Crested geckos are usually quite hardy and common, even at a local scale. I would not be surprised, if you bought him from a pet store, to learn they bought some cresteds at about 1 month of age. Even some private breeders tend to sell theirs quite early.
