So my leopard gecko has never experienced a humid hide before, and i was wondering if anyone knew how to get her to realize its a place to shed her skin? and not some scary looking plastic box..

It might just take her a bit and you might not ever see her in it (because it might be only at night). Speckles is VERY wary of new things in his tank. He'll walk s-l-o-w-l-y by them, lick at them or ignore them. I could have sworn before his last shed he wasn't using his humid hide but then I found a tiny piece of moss outside of it, making me think that he had indeed been inside. Maybe there is a way to make her use it, but aside from removing all the other hides (which I wouldn't do!) I don't know :)

Idk, lately shes been having some bad sheds to the point where im taking skin of her face with a q-tip. My humidity in the tank usually stays between 35-40%, so i dont know why shes having such difficulties. But im thinking about re-arranging her tank and adding another hide with just moss in it so she can go in there if needed.

Shes acting as normal as ever.. and when i do have to help her sometimes, shes just so energetic with happiness soo... shes got a fat tail, a little chubby and a good appetite. she just eats like every other day cause all the fat is stored in her tail, and also has calcium sacks under her arm pit, so i think shes doing just fine.

35-40% isn't enough to allow proper shedding. I've never checked the humidity inside my humid hide, but it's way higher than 35-40%.

I'm confused. I thought she already had one, and that's why you were asking?

So she's acting normal for being in a 10 gallon? Congratulations. How's that mean a 10 gallon is fine for her?

What? Reptiles can't feel happiness. Positive emotions are generally accepted to have evolved first in birds, not reptiles. Her being "energetic" isn't "happiness," that's agitation. How would you feel if a giant creature was taking you out of your warm home and peeling off your skin? Anthropomorphizing isn't going to do your gecko any good, so you should let go of that immediately.
