So my leopard gecko has never experienced a humid hide before, and i was wondering if anyone knew how to get her to realize its a place to shed her skin? and not some scary looking plastic box..

Shes also in a 10 gallon tank doing just fine.
35-40% isn't enough to allow proper shedding. I've never checked the humidity inside my humid hide, but it's way higher than 35-40%.Idk, lately shes been having some bad sheds to the point where im taking skin of her face with a q-tip. My humidity in the tank usually stays between 35-40%, so i dont know why shes having such difficulties.
I'm confused. I thought she already had one, and that's why you were asking?But im thinking about re-arranging her tank and adding another hide with just moss in it so she can go in there if needed.

What? Reptiles can't feel happiness. Positive emotions are generally accepted to have evolved first in birds, not reptiles. Her being "energetic" isn't "happiness," that's agitation. How would you feel if a giant creature was taking you out of your warm home and peeling off your skin? Anthropomorphizing isn't going to do your gecko any good, so you should let go of that immediately.and when i do have to help her sometimes,shes just so energetic with happiness soo...
