Hello again. So i have a question that DOES NOT PERTAIN TO MY GECKOS!

If there, for any reason, is a possible impaction in a geckos system will a warm bath and soft massage help pass the blockage? OR is that just a bogus home remady?

I'm just curious! My geckos are all having a good weekend ;)

THANKS

My gecko is impacted and the vet is telling me to give them warm water baths, so yes it is valid. The heat helps their digestion, and the water absorbs through their skin and the moisture can help the impaction pass. Also, if your gecko gets impacted, olive oil or mineral oil can help it pass. The vet told me to give him 0.2mL every day or so to help lubricate his/her intestine.

A massage in a warm bath does help, if you feed you gecko 1 - 2 crickets dipped in olive oil before bath it will help slide things through, but do not over do it on the oil 1 - 2 crickets is all no more after that... and you can also add pedialyte to the water in a 50/50 mixture it also helps for removing blockage and shedding :)
